The Ninth Session of the Global Civil Society Forum has been held from 19-22 February 2008. The objective of this meeting is to provide a platform for exchange and consultation on key environmental issue between Major Groups and Civil Society Organization to better address and participate at the UNEP Governing Council.
We welcome the election of Lucien Royer as Chair of the Major Groups Facilitating Committee of the Global Civil Society Forum. Sustainlabour also participated as part of the Facilitating Committee.

Preparation meeting in Geneva for the 9th session of the GCSF
Sustainlabour was present when the representatives of mayor groups of civil society met in Geneva in preparation for the 9th session of the UNEP Global Civil Society Forum (GCSF).
The European Regional Consultation meeting provided a platform for civil society participation in and contribution to the preparations for the 10th Special session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum to be held in the Principality of Monaco, from 20 to 22 February 2008.
